Kimmeridge Bay

I am somewhat behind with my blog... It's been a while, but today I vow to myself and you that I will write more and share all of the fun being had here at Garden & Wild HQ!

As part of my catch up I have lots of loveliness to share from the last year and today I will start with a gorgeous 20th Wedding Anniversary photoshoot I was delighted to have been involved with last summer. The photographer Imogen Xiana contacted me through social media and asked if I'd like to be involved, I adore the Dorset coast and after looking at her image portfolio online I didn't need to be asked twice!

The couple were a real couple known to Imogen, James and Louise, and they were celebrating their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Kimmeridge bay was a special place to them and so seemed the perfect place to base the shoot. They were both such lovely people, you could tell immediately how well suited there are to each other and the spark was definitely still there between them, they had such wonderful energy.
They came along in their gorgeous vintage Morris Minor which we featured as part of the shoot and the styling was created by Briony at Toast Event Design.

I was asked to create a natural fine art inspired bouquet, table centre and buttonhole with a nod to the coastal location. After googling the location and looking at many photographs I created a bouquet using Caramel Antike and Quick Sand roses along with Sea Holly and textural foliages bound with stunning hand-dyed silk ribbons in colours that I chose to blend with the colours of the landscape around the bay and the blush coloured Cherry Williams dress that was being worn by Louise.

We were fortunate to have the shoot featured on Style Me Pretty a major wedding blog and here are a few of the images from the day, more can be seen on the Style Me Pretty blog if you click on the link.
